Muniment hosts documentation. These terms say what we do, what you agree to, and what happens when something goes wrong. If anything here is unclear, write to support@muniment.xyz and a person will answer.
Muniment is run by the operator of muniment.xyz. *(Counsel: name the legal entity, its registered address and its company number here.)*
Your account
You need an account to keep or publish a site. There is no password — we email you a link instead, or you sign in with Google.
You are responsible for what happens through your account. Tell us at support@muniment.xyz if you think someone else has access to it.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. If you are using Muniment for an organisation, you are telling us you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
Your content stays yours
You own what you write and what you bring in. Nothing here transfers ownership of your documentation to us, and we do not claim any.
To host it, we need your permission to do the ordinary things hosting requires: to store your content, to copy it between our systems, to convert it into the pages a reader sees, and to serve it to the people you publish it to. You give us permission to do those things, for as long as your content is on Muniment, and for no other purpose. It ends when you delete the content or close your account, apart from backups that age out on their normal schedule.
We do not use your documentation to train machine-learning models, and we do not sell it.
The rights to what you bring in
This is the important one, and it is the one people get wrong.
Muniment lets you bring documentation in from somewhere else — a site, a code host, a file, or text you paste. Some of that work is done by Claude on your behalf: it reads the source you point it at and converts it into pages.
We do not check whether you have the right to do that. You are telling us that you do.
When you bring content in, and whenever you keep or publish a site built from it, you confirm that:
- you wrote the content, or you hold the rights to publish it; and
- publishing it here breaks no one else's copyright, trademark, contract or
confidentiality; and
- you have any permission you need from the people involved.
If you are not sure whether you hold those rights, do not publish it here. "Claude fetched it for me" is not permission — the tool does what you ask, and what you asked for is your decision.
If someone else's rights are infringed by something you publish here, that is on you, not on us. *(Counsel: this is the indemnity clause. It needs your wording, its bounds, and limits that hold up in the jurisdictions we operate in.)*
What may not be published
The acceptable use policy is part of these terms and says what Muniment may and may not be used for. Read it — it is short.
Reporting something
If you believe something published on Muniment infringes your rights, write to abuse@muniment.xyz. You do not need an account and you do not need to sign in. Tell us the address of the page and what is wrong with it.
A person reads every report. We answer within two working days, and we act sooner where something is clearly illegal or is putting someone in danger.
We may remove content, stop serving a site, or close an account when we conclude we should — including on a report, and including before any dispute is settled. Where we can do so, we tell the account holder what we did and why.

Plans, payment and cancellation
The free tier is permanent, not a trial. Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose, and are set out on the pricing page at the time you subscribe.
Inside sixty days of your first payment on a site, ask and we send it all back — in full, with no questions and no conversation. Your site keeps working while we do it and nothing you have written is touched.
After that window you can cancel whenever you like. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not refund part-periods except where the law requires it or where we have got something wrong.
We may change prices, but not yours. If your account was created before 31 December 2026, the price you signed up at is locked on every paid plan for as long as that subscription stays active — a price change reaches new subscriptions only, and we will not move you onto one. For accounts created on or after that date, a price change is possible: we will tell you before it affects you, and you can cancel rather than accept it.
Getting your content out
You can export everything you have written, at any time, on any plan — including while a site is suspended and after a subscription ends. That is a deliberate commitment, not a courtesy.
The export contains your content. It does not contain build, theme or deploy configuration.
Ending things
You can close your account whenever you want.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right — unless the problem is serious enough that waiting would cause harm.
When an account closes, your sites stop being served and your content is deleted after a short retention window. Export first if you want to keep it.
What we promise, and what we do not
We work to keep Muniment available and your content safe, and the service targets set out in our documentation are what we hold ourselves to.
We do not promise the service will never be unavailable, never lose a byte, or never have a defect. Software is not like that, and terms that claim otherwise are not honest.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will tell you before it takes effect, and continuing to use Muniment after that means you accept it. If you do not, you can close your account and export your content.
